On May 24, 2022 a mass shooting occurred in Uvalde, Texas at Robb Elementary. Nineteen young students and two teachers were killed that day. Seventeen others were injured. In December 2022, members of el Tribuno del Pueblo and the People’s Tribune visited some of the family members to speak on how the community has tried to heal from this tragedy.
