Last night, Tennessee Republicans expelled two Black Democratic members of the State House for protesting gun violence just days after the devastating school shooting in Nashville. Their white colleague, who also took part in the protest, was not expelled.
The whole world is watching Tennessee today — Republicans may think they’ve won, but their fascism is only further radicalizing and awakening an earthquake of youth organizing, both in the South and across the nation.
Republicans are trying to scare students, Democratic representatives, and anyone who disagrees with them into silence.
But Gen Z voters will not be silenced — if you thought youth organizing was strong, just wait for what’s coming because our movement will continue to grow:
