Changemaker –
Our democracy is under threat, and we need your voice to help stop it. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act (HR22 in the House and S.128 in the Senate) is a dangerous piece of legislation that would create unnecessary barriers to voting, disproportionately harming marginalized communities, including people of color, young voters, low-income individuals, and people with disabilities.
We must act now to stop this bill—and here’s how you can help:
- Use the 5 Calls App to contact your representatives:
- The 5 Calls App makes it quick and easy to call your U.S. Representative and Senators to demand they oppose the SAVE Act.

- Contact your representatives directly:
- Call, email, or write to your U.S. Representative and Senators to voice your opposition to the SAVE Act.

- #: Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors about why the SAVE Act is dangerous and encourage them to take action too.
This bill is not about election integrity—it’s about voter suppression. It imposes restrictive identification requirements that millions of Americans cannot easily meet, such as passports or birth certificates that match their current legal names. For example:
- 69 million women who have changed their names after marriage do not have a birth certificate that matches their legal name.
- 140 million Americans do not have a passport, including many elderly citizens.
- Rural communities, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals face even greater challenges in meeting these requirements.
The SAVE Act is not about protecting elections—it’s about blocking eligible voters from participating in our democracy. Let’s stand together to ensure that every American, no matter their background or circumstances, has a fair and equal opportunity to make their voice heard.
Together, we can stop this attack on voting rights.
In solidarity,
